I discovered recently that some people I know are either misinformed or not at all aware of the level of poverty, destitutness and exploitation in this world.
Unless they are made aware of concrete examples they rebuff complicated and expansive ideas that the third tier of this so called rapidly advancing world is not living upto the ideologies of an elitist society.
Infact, they are being taken for granted and considered expendable commodity by many.
And by those who are unaware of this situation the murderous intent of this ideology is split just as wide.
When exposure to a grand scheme of Western Supremacy appears unhindered to them, elaborated to them in uncomplicated terms - they declaim it as being a hedonistic and untrue account of the morals of the society.
Granted that you disagree with the morals and scruples of the people doing the exploiting...we are in no argument about that...but to belie the fact that this is actually occuring by waving it off as a fictional account of spurious nature designed to instigate a loss of faith in humanity...well I'll be damned!

A few "fun" facts for those of you who are only inclined to believe "fun" facts:
5m people in Zambia suffer from AIDS (complications with Malaria, TB and yellow fever) - of these 50,000 are given any treatment.
Every 30s one child in Africa dies from Malaria, 3000 African Children die every day of Malaria.
Drug companies use "informed consent" forms to make available any trial-based treatment a necessity for any sort of medical coverage.
Drug trials are often the only source of a "good" medical attention the test subjects ever recieve in their lives.
And here's the killer - the drugs they are tested for are for degenerative diseases - the so-called diseases of people in the developed world - arthritis, obesity, heart diseases.
Why? Because 80% of the pharmaceutical consumers come from North America, Europe and Japan. These are the countries that matter.
So diseases of the underpriviledged - the ones that cause a pandemic loss of life i.e. TB, malaria, yellow fever, etc are allocated just 0.3 percent of the drug industry's much-touted R&D which has resulted in the handful of drugs approved for tropical diseases.
And of all the drugs tested in these Nations for the development of AIDS vaccines and therapy, none are sold at subsidised rates to the nations most afflicted, infact after FDA approval many never find their way back and the ones that do are overpriced.
