Commandos without uniforms

I am getting increasingly disillusioned by the news. I choose not to believe that Hurrican Ivan is headed our way simply becoz it's not true to me anymore. It's something that the weatherman claims emphatically. It's his viewpoint...I don't see it...I can't feel it...why should I assume this guy is right? Just coz he's looking at some radiography plots? So what? The Principles of Physics have nothing to do with life. Only destruction. Only chaos. Man I hate Physics (sorry Dad). Increasingly it seems that the news available has become a feedback loop thru analysts [synonym for couch-potato-type-people] sitting on their asses in front of their screens (computer, TV, plasma, palm, what have you) and assimilating a fascist point of reasoning.

Feeding their little deficiencies in personalities and thinking they have the right idea of what other people are fighting for. You are tempted to believe them, simply becoz you know no better. This is where it becomes hard for someone who has actually been there and is unable to relate in words the horror of the experience. You realize that there's no real way to know the truth until you are a part of it. And you can't be everywhere at once - so you never know the ENTIRE truth - in agreement with the X-files "the truth is out there" and some one is messing the hec with it.

Bottomline: reading the news is proving to yourself that you are alive and aware and have not yet retreated to the lil space under a rock, ANALYSING the news, on the other hand, is injurious to your psyche.

over and out black cat.
